Grand Re-opening of Admiral's Cove East Course

Jupiter, Florida

In 1987 we completed our design work on the 45-hole golf course for The Club at Admiral's Cove in Jupiter, Florida. This was one of eight courses in South Florida that we created for our client Ben Frankel of Frankel Enterprises. In January 2007 we were commissioned to renovate the 18-hole East Course. Over the past 20 years, Admiral's Cove has become a premiere landmark nationwide as an elite private club and golf course. Our new design assignment consisted of replacing a large amount of the aged infrastructure items such as the irrigation system, putting surfaces, bulkheading around many tees and greens, lakes and tidal marshes, adding many new tees and designing and replacing thirteen greens, new landscaping, etc.

Since there are numerous well-known international architects headquartered in close proximity to Admiral's Cove, it was extremely flattering to us that the membership requested us "because they did not want to lose the original and unique design expression" that they feel the courses represent. Construction was completed last fall and the "new look" was extremely well received by the membership. According to Steve Rockoff, President of The Club at Admiral's Cove, we "significantly enhanced the East Golf course with a vision that blends the best in engineering and artistic design...you have created stunning visual design features and elements...your design preserves the underlying character of the East Golf Course, with its undulations and visual elevations-unique to a Florida golf course..."
