James Boorman graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's of Landscape Architecture in 1995. James worked with the Planning and Landscape Architecture group of the multi-disciplinary firm of Carter & Burgess and the prestigious Broussard Group (TBG Partners). In 1998 he accepted a position with von Hagge Smelek & Baril (vHS&B) where he became a registered Landscape Architect in the State of Texas (2001).

Since joining the firm, James has implemented an integral computer aided drafting program enabling vHS&B to more effectively communicate with both foreign and domestic clients. James complements the arsenal of skilled professionals and focuses much of his time with land planning while acting as the coordinator of document design.

In 2006 James was designated Project Architect for several prestigious assignments in Mexico. His skill set is greatly appreciated by clients in the United States, Mexico, Caribbean, Europe, and Asia.  He continues to help bring award winning design to von Hagge clients all over the world.
